When looking for an automotive parts cleaning system, there are many choices to choose from. Like most operational devices, not all auto parts cleaners are created equally. Some perform at higher levels for heavy duty applications and others have an abundance of features for a more diverse range of part cleaning.
Some parts washers use a solvent cleaner while others use an aqueous cleaner to clean the parts and remove grease. Solvent cleaners are made of chemicals and often will clean the parts faster than the more expensive and environmentally friendly aqueous solutions.
Depending on your application, there are different styles to choose from and are best suited for a particular washing tank.
- Drum Mount: A drum mount system has a drum basin on top of a base. The drum often comes with a brush or spray nozzle that helps manually clean parts faster. These systems are compatible with aqueous and solvent cleaners.
- Basin: This system is ideal for placing and leaving parts to wash while other tasks are completed. These systems have a sink-like tank where you can soak parts until they are ready for the final cleaning, making the cleaning process faster.
- Spray Wash: A spray washer can clean parts automatically with included spray heads. These systems are the best for high-use parts washing. They include high-pressure spray nozzles that can clean the inside and outside of an automotive part. This automotive parts cleaner is ideal for larger parts or for cleaning parts that are difficult to clean by hand.
