Automation and Ultrasonic Cleaning Baskets

There have been many improvements to the process of ultrasonic cleaning since the creation of ultrasonic parts cleaners. Despite being efficient and effective for a variety of parts, items being cleaned must be contained within the ultrasonic cleaning solution, and that solution itself must be contained within a tank. The design challenge for parts cleaner manufacturers is have the ability to insert and remove objects from these tanks quickly and easily in such a way that the process is economical on large scales.

One solution to this automated design challenge was the creation of ultrasonic cleaning baskets, which are wire mesh or other baskets that contain items to be cleaned. These baskets get lowered into cleaning tanks automatically so hand retrieval is not necessary. Once the parts cleaning process is complete, the baskets are rotated through and the parts are moved out as needed in individual baskets.

The baskets are permeable to the cleaning solution, but not to the objects being cleaned and can be inserted as needed by the automated machinery in the ultrasonic cleaners. Automation provides for a cleaning process that is faster and more efficient, making ultrasonic cleaning baskets a great contribution to the ease of use and efficiency of the parts cleaning process.
