The ESMA E992 is a self-contained, fully-automatic ultrasonic cleaner and passivation system. Within a single console, using a series of fill-and-drain sequences, parts are ultrasonically cleaned in alkaline detergent, rinsed, passivated with acid and rinsed with a series of rinses, including a final rinse from a DI source to ensure proper cleanliness and a spot-free finish. After the final rinse the tank is drained and the hot air drying cycle occurs. e992 3T passivation OpenThe Esma E992.3T Triple Tumbler is a variation of our standard model E992. For an explanation of the E992 process go here. The E992.3T unit is a self-contained, fully-automatic ultrasonic cleaner and/or passivation system. The model E922.3T adds 3 of the unique design tumbler baskets into the bath. Tumbler baskets will rotate slowly during the entire cycle with user input speed control per process step. Rotation of parts, especially parts with blind holes, cavities, threads, etc., will allow debris which is difficult to clean, to be drop off the parts further enhancing the ultrasonic cavitation cleaning effect. Furthermore, when used in a passivation process, the rototation will allow acid to penetrate hard to reach areas, assuring an effective passivation in all places. Operator interaction is managed through the touchscreen interface; including data collection for process steps and cycle parameters. This closed system minimizes operator exposure to acids and chemicals including a vented cover to eliminate chemical fumes. tank to tank e782CP passivationEsma's Multi-tank Ultrasonic Cleaning/Passivation Systems can be used as effective passivation lines by housing heated cleaning solution in tank1, cascading (DI) rinse waer in tank 2, heated passivation solution in tank 3, and a final cascading (DI) waer rinse in tank 4. Tank 5 is an optional hot air dryer. Manual systems require operators to move baskets from tank to tank, digital timers (alarms) will indicate when baskets are to be moved. Systems can be used with both citric and nitric acid, however, it is recommended to look into our automated systems when using nitric acid.

e782cpsaThe Esma E782CP-SA, Semi Automated Passiavtion Line is a unique combination of our standard mulit-tank, manuel passivation system, with PLC/HMI control to automatically instruct operators when and when to move parts through the system. This semi-automated unit allows for recipe creation of various ASTM 967 passivation processes which can then be run with little to no operator training. The system is designed to promt and aler operators when and where to move baskets during a cycle, minimizing oversight and training of personnel. The E782CP-SA can be customized to fit your part size and volume. Since the system utilizes PLC and HMI touchscreen technology, data logging is standard with the system to record all the pertinent cycle information for validation purposes. Access to the data can be done via USB or Ethernet FTP.

e283 1Esma ultrasonic cleaners come in a variety of sizes ranging from 1 gallon benchtop units to 350 gallon floor mounted models. Each machine is made from 100% stainless steel which provides not only a rich appearance but also unsurpassed durability. Our proprietary solid state circuitry provides a continuous, square-wave frequency wave at a constant amplitude. This produces multiple harmonics to the bath which tends to fill the less active areas in the bath and provides a more homogenous cleaning. The automatic tuning adjusts the primary resonant frequency of 38 Khz for changes in load and liquid levels. The combined effect of this superior circuitry is to produce a unit that is "not just another ultrasonic".

Esma manufactures a wide range of tank sizes and volumes, but custom sized tanks can be purchased upon request.

e889Here at ESMA Incorporated we have been in the ultrasonic cleaning business for over 40 years and we are known for our high quality, top of the line ultrasonic washers and cleaners. Our automated systems are unique due to our innovative process in which automation is done by moving the liquids rather than the basket of parts. This allows for a lower cost automated system as opposed to competitor system which use robotic gantry systems to move baskets from tank to tank. These systems also have a much smaller footprint than competitor automated systems.

Our automated washers can be standalone units which utilize facility water and drain for the fluid transfer, or integrated systems equipped with heated storage tanks which store and filter the different solutions for reuse in subsequent cycles.

We have four standard sizes of automated ultrasonic cleaning systems in order to fit virtually any application big or small. Custom sized equipment is also available to fit the individual customer needs as well.

The E1002 automatic ultrasonic cleaning system is the smallest version of our standalone automated washers and offers a tank size of 3.5 gallons and ultrasonic power of 600 watt. This system provides multi-functional wash, rinse and hot-air drying.

The ESMA E889 is our large standalone ultrasonic washer which holds 18 gallons and has an ultrasonic power of 1800 watts; this system is designed to make the cleaning process simpler. The E889 ultrasonic cleaner uses a PLC to control the cycles of cleaning, rinsing and drying. We are proud to say that this system offers improved finished part quality and low cost automation of the aqueous cleaning process.

Our E700 version offers a tank volume of 9 gallons and an Ultrasonic power of 1200 watts, this is an integrated system incorporating heated storage tanks for reuse of cleaning solution and/or rinse water. The working tank is a console mounted PLC-controlled system that offers automated clean, rinse and dry phases. By filtering the solution and/or rinse water, these materials can be reused with each cycle; overall the E700 system offers reduced operator involvement and speeds up the process.

Our E992 automated ultrasonic passivation system has a tank volume of 18 gallons and an ultrasonic power of 1800 watts, this cleaning system is self-contained and fully automatic utilizing 4 heated storage tanks to house alkaline detergent, passivation acid and DI rinse water. Parts processed in this system are ultrasonically cleaned, rinsed, passivated, rinsed and dried in order to ensure cleanliness and proper passivation. The operator is able to control the system through a touch screen interface, meaning minimal exposure to acids or cleaned parts and the solutions are housed in closed, covered tanks to minimize environmental fumes. This closed-process passivation system is designed to clean, rinse, passivate, re-rinse and dry parts automatically.

Separate tanks provide individual chambers for ultrasonic cleaning, ultrasonic hot water flush rinsing to remove drag-out solution, and a final chamber for hot air drying.

Single Chassis, Multi-Chambered Models


At Esma we offer two different single chassis, multi-chambered ultrasonic cleaning systems: the E386 and the E782. E386 - The Esma E386 is designed to be used on a benchtop in a workshop or commercial facility. This design makes it easy to move around and minimizes the floor space that the unit takes up. The three separate tanks in the unit allow for ultrasonic cleaning, ultrasonic rinsing, and hot-air drying. Each tank has a capacity of one gallon and the unit is constructed with stainless steel for wipe down applications. The E386 even comes with an unconditional one year guarantee.

E782 - The E782 is a much larger single chassis, multi-chambered ultrasonic cleaning system. This non-automated unit has four chambers, each with a volume of 3.5 gallons. There are two ultrasonic cleaning tanks, one rinse tank, and one hot air drying chamber. This particular unit is very versatile since it can be sold in either a benchtop version or as part of a stainless steel console.

Multi-Chassis or Single Chassis Models


E283 - The E283 is a tabletop unit with only a one gallon tank that is capable of cleaning high performance parts. The unit can be used in conjunction with Esma’s hot air drying tanks to create a small but complete ultrasonic system. This unit is commonly used to clean electronic parts because it operates at a constant amplitude. This makes the cleaning more effective without damaging the functional components of the parts.

E888 - Also designed for tabletop use and relatively low volume, the E888 has a 3.5 gallon capacity with 300 watts per tank. The unit can be paired with Esma rising or hot drying tanks to provide a complete non-automated ultrasonic cleaning process. The E888 includes a 15 minute timer and optional features like integrated pump filter systems or rinsing units can be added.

E188 - For delicate cleaning of parts, the E188 is the perfect unit. During cleaning in its single 9 gallon tank, it can remove any debris from small cavities in a part. The E188 is a non-automated ultrasonic cleaning system, but is available in an automated version, the E700. The rotating basket of the unit’s chamber helps remove dirt and debris from parts by “tumbling” them during cleaning.
